Halloween Week!
Since I was out of town last week; this week I am scrambling to finish up costumes, carve pumkins, and do some fun activities with the kids. Luckily Amber took the kids to the pumpkin patch while we were in Mexico, so I now have pumpkins! Last night we had an impromptu Halloween Dinner/FHE! The girls and I made Mummy Hot Dogs:
They were very helpful, the hot dogs turned out so cute, and everyone had fun!
I then attempted to carve some pumpkins. I told the kids to find some patterns on the computer and they chose some HARD ones! Since Jon left for CA earlier that day it was all ME! I ususally help clean the pumpkins and he does all the carving! Brinley wanted to help of course:
Pretty much it was a sticky mess!

But worth it when I see how excited they are to see their pumpkins all lit up!

I attempted to carve LeBron James' face on Mason's pumpkin. I think it turned out OK for an amature. I just loved Mason's comments, "Wow Mom that looks really hard to do!" and "Mom you're good at that!" They think Dad can do everything, but I must say I think I pulled my weight last night! I only finished two out of five last night. I heard from Morgan and Brooklyn all day today, " When are we going to finish the pumpkins, Is mine next??? Morgan wants the "So You Think You Can Dance" Logo and dancer on hers??? Yah Right!
Here are some pictures of some new Decor that I got this year!
The green/purple spiders I purchased from JoAnn's and filled them with candy eyeballs:

My mom made me this "Spooky" Halloween banner last year! I love it hanging above my kitchen table!I snatched up this advent calender at TJ Maxx early September. It reminded me of PB KidsI found this cute purple metal Spooky sign at an Antique Store! Love it with my sparkly pumpkins from last year!Hopefully everyone is having as much fun as we are this week! Don't eat too much candy because there is much more to come this weekend!

Nic's Nursery!

Just call me a "Daycare Provider" this week! Today was the first day of watching my nephew Mark while the rest of his family is on a cruise in the Eastern Caribbean. I also had A. J. Moses who is a little boy that I have been watching since the beginning of the school year. When my friend Karen called the other day to ask if I could watch Hannah, I said "Sure, what's one more kid!"

The morning started out smoothly! I put on a kid favorite "Dora the Explorer"
They were watching it happily while I got dressed, made beds, did some laundry, and snuck in last nights' episode of So You Think You Can Dance. Little did I know that Mark and A.J. found a game in Mason's room and had a great time throwing it all over!
I decided it was then time for lunch. I lined them all up at the bar and feed them chicken nuggets, Ritz, and candy corn. YUM!
We headed to the park to give us a change of scenery! As we drove there Mark and A.J. were fighting over who was going to be Batman for Halloween. It's hard to explain to two three year-olds that you both can be Batman! We had the park all to ourselves but all of them wanted ME to push them on the swings. By this time of the day I was exhausted and all I wanted to do was sit. Instead I embraced the moment, pushed them on the swings and took them on a little nature walk to look for treasures.

After dropping off Hannah we picked up Morgan, headed to the Orthodontist, and just barely made it to Sonic for Happy Hour.

As I sit here now typing this I am feeling very tired! I woke up this morning at 4:30 a.m. when Jon took his brother to the airport and I never took a nap. Imagine that!!! Tomorrow is a new day, but everyone will be home from school for Columbus Day. Yeah! I think I'm going to need a break, maybe Cancun :)!!!
